Peek-a-boo!

I'm not sure which one likes peek-a-boo more, Josh or Kylie. Pay attention to the last few seconds of the video-- Kylie has become very sneaky!

Blankie

We've had this blanket ever since Kylie was born, but she just recently started taking it all around the house with her.

The Big 3-0

Today is Josh's 30th birthday and since that is a pretty significant birthday, I wanted to do something really creative for him. When he first got home from work, he saw a few balloons in the living room that he thought were just nice decorations. Little did he know that I had blown up about 15 balloons and hung a few in each room of the house. Inside each balloon were a couple pieces of paper, each one containing either a nice compliment about him, a coupon (ex: escaping changing Kylie's diaper), or a clue telling him where to find a birthday present.

I LOVED watching him read the clues. Each clue would tell him where he could find his present, but he had to know where certain household items were kept in order to find it. This was really fun because Josh is always asking me where we keep things so I knew he could have to hunt for his presents :)

Well, the very last balloon that he popped contained a clue that told him that his next present could be found where we keep old cleaning rags. He searched two other places before he figured out where the actual spot was. In this location he found a large gift bag with a good-sized box in it.

This cute picture was on top of the box. He flipped the picture up and on the back it read "Wii love you!"

Yup... I gave him a Nintendo Wii for his birthday! Nothing says 'adult' like a game system... He was INCREDIBLY surprised because we had talked about getting one for a while and decided against it. Plus, up until this point his presents were all really small. Yay for tax returns!
Josh is such an amazing daddy, husband, and friend. He is the most selfless and HELPFUL person I know. Whenever I count my blessings, I count him twice because I feel so lucky to be with him. Happy Birthday, Josh!

Cheese!

Every once in a while I decide to make a drastic change. Yesterday I randomly decided to chop my hair. This is what it looked like right after the haircut-- I'm still experimenting with the styling part.

Trial Run

We took a trip to Idaho this past weekend to visit family. We thought we would try a mini road trip before attempting to drive to Michigan. Kylie did wonderful-- she slept the whole way there and was perfectly happy the entire way back.

Unfortunately, Kylie was feeling a little under the weather so she wasn't her usual bubbly self, but she eventually warmed up to everyone. Parker got lucky-- Kylie went to him right away.

Aunt Linda had to wait a day and a half before Kylie would even sit next to her. I'm sure it was worth the wait :)

Kylie and Hayley reading stories

We all slept in really late Sunday morning, so we gave Kylie a bath in the sink to save some time. She loved it!

After being in someone else's home for two days, Kylie thought she should clean up after herself.

Our Not-So-Distant Future

17: The number of days left of class
24: The date of my graduation in April
8: The number of weeks until we move to Michigan
2: The number of days it will take us to drive there

That's right, we are headed to Michigan! Josh's company is allowing him to do his job remotely and we really miss being close to family. We will leave at the end of April, just a few days after graduation. We have made some wonderful friends here that we are SO sad to leave behind, but we are looking forward to what lies ahead.

Packing will be interesting with Kylie's "help." I must say that she is amazing at emptying shelves, drawers, and cupboards in record time.

Randomness

A cute outfit from Grandma J. This is Kylie BEFORE her nap...
... and AFTER her nap! WOW!

A friend of mine watches Kylie twice a week so I can attend my afternoon classes. Kylie and her daughter, Callie, have become fast friends. This week, we had the chance to watch Callie, and the two of them couldn't have been happier to see each other! As soon as Callie heard Kylie waking up, she took off towards her room to say "good morning."
