Grandma Steorts helped Kylie learn to finally take a pacifier, which works very well during the diaper changing process :) As you can see, she's just getting ready to fall asleep. Look at how huge it is compared to her face!

Fun with Kylie

Kylie has managed to put US on a schedule, but she's just so cute! We have found that she does not like to get her diaper changed, but she LOVES taking baths and falling asleep with Daddy.

Our new addition

We got quite a surprise when my water broke early in the morning on January 22nd- exactly 2 weeks before my official due date. We took our time getting ready, arrived at the hospital around 8:30am, and things went smoothly from there. We LOVED the hospital staff that worked with us, and they did such a fantastic job. She was born at 4:46pm, weighs 6 lbs 12 oz, and was 18 1/2 inches long. After 11 hours of labor and only 15 minutes of pushing, our beautiful Kylie Madelyn arrived. Here are some images of her big day! Such a cutie!

Our Last Fling

On Friday night, Josh and I went and played pool and then went out to dinner. I think that marks our last spontaneous date for a while.

For Christmas, I received a gift certificate for a pedicure. I made good use of it on Saturday morning, and I'm so glad I did!
The rest of Saturday was spent buying last-minute items for Baby. Her nursery is officially DONE! Now all we need is a baby to put in it.

The Home Stretch!

Wow, time flies...sort of. I am wrapping up my 36th week and it definitely shows! Why do they sell horizontal striped shirts to pregnant women? And here's a better question: why did I buy one??

As time progresses, I'm growing more and more uncomfortable. I had Josh turn our bed sideways so I could sleep up against a wall with a ton of pillows. Just another perk of late pregnancy.
And finally, here is a picture of the nursery!! There are still a few more decorative things I would like to do with it, but at least we have a place to put her. So exciting!
