Christmas Break

We traveled to Michigan for Christmas and stayed there for about 10 days. It was so good to see friends and family again!! We had a wonderful Christmas holiday and enjoyed every minute of our visit.

I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't capture a single picture the whole time I was in Michigan. However, I managed to get a little something... We watched Kramer's basketball team play at the Breslin Center at MSU and jokingly told Kramer that he should dance for the half-time show. For anyone who thinks Kramer is shy, this is for you! :)

New carpet!!

This week was a very busy one. I had 5 finals, we were finalizing preparations for the Christmas holiday, and... we got new carpet in the condo!! As you can see, it was quite a process... Anyone feel like camping out in the living room?? But what a difference! We love that it squishes between our toes :)

I am also 33 weeks along (8 months). Almost done!!

Fun Stuff!

Last weekend the snow finally stuck, and being the first day of December, the timing couldn't have been better. The snow got me motivated to stay indoors and put up the Christmas decorations. I'm quite happy with how things turned out :)

Yesterday my friend Nayomee threw me a baby shower and it was a great success. Lots of people came, I received many wonderful gifts, and everyone seemed to have a great time. Thanks!!

Josh & I drove to Washington for Thanksgiving to spend some time with his family. It was so nice to see everyone again! On Friday, we went to Seattle and took a Harbor Cruise. We got some great pictures of the city.

It was a gorgeous day, as you can see.

Josh's parents now own a pizza parlor in LaConnor, so we made sure to check that out before we left. The pizza was SO good!

Here's a random video of Josh feeding Merlin cocoa puffs. Sorry it's sideways- I didn't realize that turning the camera turns the picture too :)

This weekend's events

So on Saturday, Morgan and I went and worked out (as usual) and when we got back, Kourtni had already started a facial. Kourtni would not come and hang out with us unless we got facials too. Since I'm the one who suggested buying that type of facial cream, I was cool with it, but Morgan...
...well this was his first facial and I don't mean to brag or anything, but I think he liked it!
Kourtni was working on the computer one night this week and I thought that this angle showed off her belly very well. She is now 28 weeks along as the picture we took this morning shows- isn't she cute!

Carving Pumpkins

Josh and I decided to carve pumpkins for Family Home Evening. It's so much harder than I remember, but they turned out pretty cool! I did a Frankenstein pumpkin and Josh did a Michigan pumpkin (go figure).

Preschool Fun

Today was my last day teaching in the BYU Preschool- it was a block class that I was able to take for my major. During recess, I was assigned to supervise the "trikes". The kids practiced counting as they timed themselves going around the playground. They still think that the higher the number, the faster you are :)

One of the little boys, Landon, totally bonded with me from day one. Everyday he would save me a seat on the carpet during group time. He surprised me today with pumpkin bread and a cute little note that he wrote himself. I'll miss preschool!

Brand New Look

Yesterday I attended a Relief Society Super Saturday where we made fall crafts.

Afterwards, I felt motivated to change our whole living room :) Josh and I spent the rest of the day shopping around and this is what we came up with. I love it!!

I am also now in my 24th week of pregnancy. Time flies!

General Conference

We had the chance to attend the Saturday morning session of General Conference. Our ward happened to have tickets, so we just decided to go. Little did we know that we would have INCREDIBLE seats! We were about 5 rows from the back of the plaza seating. It was kinda cool to be there when they sustained Henry B. Eyring as the new 2nd counselor in the First Presidency, as well as Quentin Cook as an apostle. The pictures are a little blurry're not supposed to bring cameras in there :)

An Eventful Year

Our first year together has been so much fun, and we're so glad we can finally include our friends and family in the action!

We were married in the Detroit Temple on May 18, 2006...

and then we honeymooned in Jamaica!

We settled in Provo so Kourtni could attend BYU, and even bought our first car in November :)

Lately, our greatest joy comes in the anticipation of becoming first-time parents. We can't wait until the arrival of our little girl!
